Admissions

Ravenswood Community Child Care Center admits children from the ages of 6 weeks to 5 years without regard to race, culture, sex, religion, national origin, ancestry, or disability. When the parent or legal guardian of a child identifies that a child has special needs, the Executive Director and the parent or legal guardian will meet to review the child's care requirements. Ravenswood Community Child Care does not discriminate on the basis of special needs. The program accepts all children as long as a safe, supportive environment can be provided for the child.

Our program will attempt to accommodate all children with special needs consistent with the requirements of the Americans with Disabilities Act. If the program is unable to accommodate your child's needs as defined by the child's health care provider or the Individual Service Plan/Individual Education Plan without posing an undue burden as defined by federal law, Ravenswood Community Child Care will work with you to find a suitable environment for the child.

All information regarding your child, his or her progress, any identified delays or other developmental concerns will be kept confidential. Communication regarding these issues including Individual Educational Plans and Individual Family Service Plans will be incorporated into the classroom lesson plans for identified children. In cases where other professionals, such as Speech Therapists or Occupational Therapists have been identified as needing to provide services for a particular child, the classroom will work to accommodate their need for time and space.
